Tips and Tricks using Dokuwiki

Exporting your lab notes as a pdf

  • You can get a pdf copy of your digital notebook by putting this link on a dokuwiki page:
  • replace “wiki:documentation:nicolina” with the namespace you want to export. You see the current namespace in the address bar of your browser. eg. this page is in the namespace wiki:dokuwiki:tips
  • Save the page and click on the resulting link. It will take some minutes and then a pdf of your lab book should be downloaded.
  • Unfortunately the order of pages is not by date

* Export namespace "wiki:documentation:nicolina:" to file LabBook Nicolina.pdf

To create and save in this page the command to export your document

  1. Edit the following command: ~~PDFNS>wiki:documentation:nicolina|LabBook Nicolina~~
    1. Click on the pen icon 'edit this page“ on the right
    2. (Optional: toggle WYSIWYG editor, the yellow button on the upper right of the page)
    3. Copy and paste below the command under “my wikidocuments as pdf” (or where in wiki is convenient for you)
    4. Replace “wiki:documentation:nicolina” with the namespace you want to export. You see the current namespace in the address bar of your browser (eg. this page is in the namespace wiki:dokuwiki:tips)
    5. Save (button on the bottom right of the page)
  2. Click on the command you just created. A dialog box from your browser will pop up to download your document as pdf. Note that it can take a while.
